As I was watching Kerri and Caroline’s youtube the other night . . see . . I’m already on first name level with my two new BFFs! 🙂 Seriously sometimes I watch flosstubes and I like the person(s) making the videos but what they do doesn’t appeal to me; sometimes I love what they do but don’t really like their mannerisms, and sometimes I like the people and I love what they are working on and that’s when I know I will never miss one of their flosstubes. That’s how I felt after watching these two ladies. It was their first video together with their new arrangement and I hope there are many more!
Along about the 26:24 mark . . go watch it and see her finished project . . I’ll wait!
OK . . isn’t that gorgeous. Kerri was talking about it, where to get it, which floss colors she used. I was making plans to order this and then I thought . . wait . . I think I have that chart!
It’s Hortense de Frocourt – 1887 and it can be purchased through Creative Poppy. Don’t ask me why the letters for the name of the chart are all jumbled on the copy I printed but you can see the name on the picture of the stitched piece.
I went digging. I searched through my email and found it but I couldn’t open it. I purchased it in May, 2021. I don’t even know how I came across it. I don’t think I was watching flosstubes back then. I thought it was one that had a certain number of times you could open it and then it was gone. I thought maybe I had sent it to myself because that’s how I get it into Pattern Keeper. Couldn’t find that email. Oh . . wait . . Pattern Keeper! It would be on my old table. Dug that thing out, charged it up and yes, there it was.
Then I remembered that there was a password to open the pdf. It hadn’t expired but I needed the password. Searched through the email and found the password . . Bingo! It opened. I printed it so now I have a printed copy as well as the copy in Pattern Keeper.
The chart calls for two colors, one being highly contrasted in tone, which makes it appear that there are more than two colors used but Kerri used two of her dyed floss colors, Pippi and Bellini. I ordered those two plus a peachy colors that’s a bit darker than Bellini because I could see it blending in to some of the colors I have here.
When that floss arrives, I am going to be very tempted to start this project. I just love how this looks stitched!
On 40 count, it will be 10-3/4″ x 6-1/4″. On 46 count, it will be 8-7/8″ x 5-3/8″. Right now I’m thinking I’ll use 40 to make it a bit larger but it will all depend on finding the perfect linen in the stash.

Just ordered this. I think I may use just one variegated red, so easy. Sometimes I just don’t want to change colors!
