Thursday night I was chatting with a friend online (Pat) and she said “Have you ever watched the Leo & Roxy videos? They actually have two different channel . . double the trouble, right? Here’s the other one. This one is more of a combination of Caroline’s knitting and stitching with Evertote news added in.
I have heard of Leo & Roxy and Evertote just about since I first started cross stitching . . way back in December, 2020. 🙂 I don’t know why I never did a little digging and found them. They’re Canadians and I’m not real sure about who does what there but the Evertote web page says “Project Bags for Crafters and the Home of Leo and Roxy Floss Co.” What I do now is that I need to stay away from that web page! 🙂
Seriously, I think Caroline does the project bags and coordinates stitch alongs and kits, while Kerri with Leo & Roxi does the fabric and floss tying. There’s also something in the works with Caroline and/or her husband making stitching frames but I’ve only watched one video so I don’t know what’s going on.
Thursday night when Pat told me that she had ordered a chart, I had to go check it all out. I ended up subscribing to their floss club. I have been in several and after a year or so, I cancelled but I hear so many flosstubers talking about the Leo & Roxy floss club . . I wanted to try it.
I also ordered the Holiday Countdown chart by Modern Folk Embroidery, and I think this will be something like a stitch along from December 1 – 25.
One of the really nice things on the website is that they show photos of several counts of linen and aida after it has been dyed. Because each weight takes the dye differently, they’ve shown the linen dyed up in different counts. I’m not real sure which is which on the photos. I’m assuming it starts on the left with the lowest count and goes up to the highest count but, again . . I don’t know.
Anyway, for stitchers, if you haven’t been to their site, it’s pretty fun and they have some amazing floss and linen.
