I was going to press this after finishing the center flower so I could get a good picture but I’ve heard that pressing too much flattens the stitches so, since I was going to keep on stitching, I didn’t press it.
There’s a good bit more to the pot but that flower is so beautiful in real life. Oops . . I see I didn’t stitch the center of the bottom right flower. I’ll get that done right now. If y’all see anything else that looks like I missed it, please let me know.
Last night I worked on the right side border. I needed more stitching on that so I could get the spacing right for the flowers in the right side so hopefully today I’ll have some time to work on those.

Looking beautiful. When you showed the chart at first, I wasn’t sure that I liked it, but when I see your progress posts, I have liked it more each post. Now, I really love that center flowering plant.

Love seeing your progress on this one. Have ordered the chart and threads and looking forward to making it. Was told by a very old friend of my mother, that to press the linen, you have to have a thick towel on your ironing board and place your stitched piece face down and gently iron your linen around the motifs, it keeps from flattening your stitches. Always do it this way and it works for me.

I have one of the thick wool mats that I use and I think that helps but I still try to press it as little as possible.
I hope you enjoy stitching it. I’m hoping to finish this time before I move on to something else . . again.
