This morning Vince was chatting with Chad and he told him “Check in every now and then and let your mom know you’re ok. She worries about you.”
10:46 a.m. I get this message from Chad.
Really? I guess if Vince and said “Tell her a bit about what’s going on there”, I might have gotten more but he’s ok and that’s all I need to know.
I doubt they’re working today. Last I saw, the storm should make landfall between 2 and 4 p.m. and then it will take a while for the storm to pass and then someone will decide where to send the crews. There are a lot of people down there waiting for instructions. Chad was almost directly east of Naples, less than two hours away, in Hollywoood. Of course, I’m not familiar with FL and am getting my info from the internet so forgive me if I’m wrong.
My guess is they’ll stay tonight in Hollywood again and then got wherever they’re told to go tomorrow. I think there will be plenty of places that need them.

Glad he’s okay. I talked to Grace and she’s sending me updates on what they’re watching and whether the mourning doves are still on the balcony. I guess I’ll hear from her until I don’t. Keeping Chad in my prayers.

Really . . hear from her til you don’t. Looks like there are over 1 million households without power now.

I’m glad he’s ok. That did make me laugh…typical man (or son…) Of course he may have done that to try to make you laugh too. From what I’ve been hearing about the situation, he and the other linemen are going to be very busy!

..I’m glad to know he’s safe. As someone who knows how badly the help is needed after a hurricane, I’m thankful for people like Chad.
