Destructive little Oscar was just about out of toys! There’s one squeaky toy that he loves and we keep one because it’s so good for playing fetch but if he gets it and keeps it on his own more than five minutes, he shreds it. Vince buys all they have at Walmart every time he sees them. I don’t think we ever have one last more than a couple of days of playing with it.
I ordered several “non-destructible” toys from Amazon and they arrived today. We put them on the floor and let him choose which one he wanted to play with.
They all said for large breeds and aggressive chewers so I figure if a lab can’t chew this up, hopefully a dachshund can’t either.
He chose the white and red bone and chewed on it for half an hour but he still loves the Yak Chews the best and went back to that.
He will chew on those yak sticks all day . . the hard part is getting it away from him if we’re going to go somewhere. I don’t like to leave him chewing on something while we’re gone but I’d also like to keep all my appendages.
Don’t you just love his spots?

The vet said he should be as big as he’s going to get. I hope!

He is a cutie for sure! We have a GoldenDoodle named Sophie who is about 75 pounds.
We are dog sitting my sister’s Shitzu for the week. He whines whenever I am out of his sight. He won’t sleep if he can’t see me, so now I am sleeping in the guest room with him!! He is so high maintenance!!!
It’s a good thing that I love animals! Our cat isn’t too happy having this “guest” for the week!
Give your little Oscar a treat and a little snuggle from me.

My sister in law tied her husband’s old tee shirts in a know for their pups to chew and play tug of war/ Cheap and got rid of the old holey shirts.

I love his spots! I think they have gotten prettier!

Thanks. I think so too. They seem brighter. His white is so white! We go out at night when there’s a full moon and he almost glows. I told him he’d be easy to pick up by a predator! 🙁
