Love is the Key is by Teresa Kogut and it was her special market piece in the spring of this year. I had started stitching it late and Teresa was going to take whatever I got done to market to show. I had the outline of the borders done – really everything you see except the leaves and flowers in the top border. Teresa used a computer image for the cover design and had my piece there to show mainly the two bunnies.
Yesterday I was thinking about starting Prairie Life Sampler while waiting for the extra floss to arrive for A Sampler for All Seasons and I saw that I had an email from Teresa Kogut asking if I had ever finished Love is the Key. I told her I had not but if she needed it, I could get right on it. She said . . no rush but she wants to use it for the updated covers for the chart.
It’s one of my favorite designs. Love the bunnies and love the color of their clothes.
This gives you an idea of what I have to stitch!
I got it out, looked to see how much needs to be done (a lot!), made a plan and told her I could have it finished by the end of September. You may not even be able to read my writing but I can (hopefully).
Today I stitched 1085 stitches. There are a lot of leaves to be stitched in that border!
Stitching the leaves gets a bit boring so I’ve spread out the stitching so I’m not doing the remaining three borders back to back.
Hopefully there’s not a lot going on and I can get this finished by the end of the month.
