Oscar makes probably 500 circles around the living room per day . . maybe more. We encourage him to keep going . . this wears him down and when Oscar is tired, Vince and I can get a few moments of peace.
The other night he had been going and going and going. By the time I grabbed the camera, he was starting to slow down but this gives you some idea of his energy level.
He’ll be 8 months old this week. Some days I think he’s slowing down and some days . . I don’t know.

LOL, LOL.

He’s such a happy pup!

He is really a handful but he enjoys every minute of every day and for both of us, he makes the days fun (and busy).

Oh, my! And how much respite do you get while he recovers? Is he (literally) running around like that from the time he gets up?
judy.blog@gmail.com says
He runs around like that for maybe 30 minutes, then he’ll sleep for 30 minutes, then he does it again. Anything he can reach, he shreds and unless it’s about 10′ up, he manages to get to it.
The surgery never slowed him down except the first day while the anesthesia wore off. He has gone like a bat out of he** the entire time. Tomorrow the blow up collar comes off!

He sure is fast

He is SO fast. We have just about mastered the words “STAY!” and “STOP!” They both have hand signals too – signals we made up but if Vince and I know them and Oscar knows them, that’s good enough. After Speck lost his hearing, I wished we had taught him some version of hand signals so we’re doing that with Oscar. Hopefully “stop” and “stay” will make it easier to catch him. Even after the fence goes up next week and we’ve made sure it’s secure, I told Vince I’m not letting him loose back there because we may never catch him and get him back inside. He’s a rascal!

This is so funny, and to think he just had surgery!!

Emmi is 12 years old and I hate to tell you this–she is slowing down but on some days she would play 24 hours a day if someone would play with her–not at Oscar’s speed but she would chase a stick or ball if someone throws it for her.

I’m kinda guessing that’s what I’m going to be saying in 12 years but that’s ok. I wanted a dog with some spunk and personality and I got that . . plus some. 🙂
He is very teachable. We try to learn two or three new words each week and it’s fun working with him and seeing his enthusiasm when he knows he’s got it. We’ve mastered “Stay” and last night, he would sit and look at me and I know he was wanting me to get up and walk around with him and then tell him to stay so he could show off.
I was talking to a friend on the phone and she was telling me something and I said “NO!” Oscar was playing and Vince said it was like I said “stop, drop and roll”. When I said NO!, he dropped what he was doing and sat down like “I really didn’t do anything wrong!” 🙂

I think he’s spring-leaded!

I think you’re right!

Looks like you read what I meant to say: spring-LOADED! 😀
