Last night I finished the stitching on Santa’s Big Bouquet. This is a chart that was for Teresa Kogut’s Patreon members, Tier 4, July, 2022. Some of the Patreon charts will be released later – maybe in a year, maybe sooner but not all are so I don’t know about this one. I would think it would be since it’s a great chart.
This was my 7th finish for this year.
It isn’t huge but there’s a decent amount of stitching in it and I’m pretty amazed that I finished it in less than a month. I pulled the fabric and all the floss on July 3, started it on July 5 and finished it on July 31. That’s really great for me. I’m not really a slow stitcher but I have a lot going on with cooking, bread making, the garden, canning, freeze drying and . . Oscar!
The tree next to the deer was missing a red stitch on top. I’ve added that but if you see anything else missing, please let me know.
Changes I Made:
- The chart shows “Merry Christmas” at the bottom in blockish letters. I left that off.
- I started with the outer rows of the “curtain” 10 stitches longer than charted and I stuck with the extra 10 stitches for about halfway across, then kinda went on my own. I wanted to have room above the center flower to stitch the year.
- I outlined Santa’s Beard and the snowman because they weren’t showing up.
Otherwise, I stitched this right by the chart.
Started: July 5, 2022
Finished: July 31, 2022
Fabric: 40 count Picture this Plus, Color – Legacy
Floss: All called for – DMC and one Weeks Dye Works.
I had thought this would be a great piece to go with Cranberry Christmas which I also stitched this year.
There the are side by side though I doubt they’ll be hanging side by side. I guess about the only similarities is that they both have red and green in them! 🙂
I’ll be happy to have them both on my wall this year. I already have the frame for Cranberry Christmas and ordered the frame for Santa’s Big Bouquet last night.

Beautiful work! Is there a stitch missing by the right side flower where the stem attaches? Either way, this is gorgeous!

Finished piece is really pretty. I had liked your curtain when it looked peppermint-striped, but now finished with the darker red, it looks great. You will have some Christmas pretties for your home. Happy Anniversary. Did you make an anniversary XS? I found one I did for our 25th but it was rolled up, never framed. Not sure what that means but we made it to almost 50 years before husband passed away. Have a few samplers with both our initials on them.

Love your finish!! Your outline stitches on the snowman and beard really made a difference. I will have to remember that the next time something light doesn’t show as I think it should.

After you finished the curtain, I really do like the two tones better than I thought I would. Congrats on another finish!

I kinda do too but I’m not sure if it’s just because I know that’s how it has to be but I’m 100% pleased with it. I ordered a frame that has some black and gold so it will look a bit Christmas like.
