Last night I pulled some works in progress and made plans for what I intend to work on in August.
First . . Thy Love Divine by Hands Across the Sea. I started this in April, 2021 and was sure I’d have this done by our anniversary that year. Nope. Then I was sure I’d have it done by our anniversary this year. Nope. OK . . it will be done by the end of August.
That bottom section is done in rice stitch, which isn’t hard, but I just need to get on it and get it done. I’m thinking if I really put my mind to it, I could finish this in a week! I have the frame. I want this finished and on our bedroom wall!
Next, I want to finish Love is the Key by Teresa Kogut.
There’s still a good bit of stitching to be done but I think I could finish both of these in August if I work hard. That’s my goal.
I also want to stitch some on Red Bird Sampler which is the SAL with Jo.
I won’t be able to finish this one in August but I do want to make some progress on it.
I’ve noticed that I accomplish so much more when I work on one project and don’t jump around. It kinda scares me to think I could become a monogamous stitcher but I’m feeling like that might be happening. I want to start everything but I know I work better with just one project at a time. Time will tell how this battle within plays out.

I have discovered the same thing with my knitting. I am finally finishing my great grandson’s baby blanket for his second birthday!! LOL

I’d like to become a monogamous quilter. I retire in six weeks, and that’s one of my goals – finish what I’ve started and then stick to one project at a time. Even as I type this, I have my doubts that it will ever happen! 😉

Good luck. I think I stayed monogamous today for two hours. 🙂
Happy retirement. It’s going to be so fun!!

I’ve discovered I’m a monogamous stitcher too until I get bored….lol That’s when I find I need to put it down and find something else to work on in order to get my mojo back.

Finishing is great!!! I have just got the flimsy of Shipshewana mystery quilt completed (depending on what I decide about border). I wanted it larger, so put it away when we got home. Went to a week-day-retreat recently and chose to work on UFOs. So glad! Moving on. I’m hoping someone has an idea of how she quilted it!!!! Pictures, maybe?
