Yesterday as I was getting projects cleaned up and organized, since I wanted a bin of projects that are kitted and ready to start, I made sure the ones for August were all handy.
Santa’s Big Bouquet by Teresa Kogut:
There’s a possibility this one will be finished by the end of July. If not, I’ll keep working on it into August and get it finished.
Love is the Key by Teresa Kogut:
This one should have been finished months ago.
I’ll get right back on it as soon as I finish Santa’s Big Bouquet.
Home Is Where My Stitching Is by The Primitive Hare:
I’m chomping at the bit to get started on this one.
The gray fabric included in this kit is 30 count and, as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I don’t want to stitch with two strands of floss. I pulled out some other gray fabrics I have but I don’t think the gray is what I really wanted to use. I kept digging through fabrics and when I came across a piece of Peddler’s Blend, by Dames of the Needle. This is a piece I bought in March, 2021 and have hesitated to use it because I love it and once I use it, I won’t have it any more.
I ended up changing the lighter gray floss to Flying Geese by Victorian Motto, and changing the tan to DMC 680. I love the colors now and am anxious to start this one.
Red Bird Sampler by With thy Needle:
This is the sampler with Jo Kramer beginning August 1.
I have the fabric and floss all ready for that one.
There’s probably no chance all of these will get finished but really, if I can finish Santa’s Big Bouquet by the end of July, I should be able to finish Love is the Key in August and maybe one of the other two projects. Time will tell!
