I’m still working on Santa’s Big Bouquet by Teresa Kogut. I had hoped to finish this one by the end of today but that’s not going to happen. Maybe I can have it finished by next Friday.
Yesterday at 8 p.m., I had only made 44 stitches and that happened first thing yesterday morning. By the time I put it away last night, I had met my 500 stitches per day goal.
Here’s where I am now.
I still have Santa on the left of the bouquet and I’ve started him (or her) – looks like a dress but has a beard so . . we won’t go there! 🙂
I still have a tree to the left of Santa, a couple more flowers and leaves, the bottom border and the top border. I still don’t think I’m going to stitch the “Merry Christmas” at the bottom. I think I’m going to have to outline the snowman. There’s more white on top of the flowers so I’ll probably outline that too.
I may end up making this into a pillow or mounting it on a board. Some of the colors aren’t showing up as well as I had expected and I may not want to invest in framing it.
It’s harder to judge colors when the designers are only showing computer generated drawings and not showing stitched pieces. I still like it but maybe not enough to frame it. I’ll make that decision once it’s finished and pressed.
