A week or so ago when we discovered the Carthage Olive Oil Company, I mentioned that the lady told us about using the Blood Orange infused olive oil in place of other oils in a brownie recipe. We did that last night and oh, my .. it made such a difference. I used an Aldi brownie mix and I think if this was taken to a pot luck dinner, it would get rave reviews.
The squiggly thing is the reflection from my stitching lamp. It looks like a string of tiny pearls.
Now we’re wanting to go back to the olive oil store and get other flavors of oil to add. I’d like to try cherry. Vince wants to try raspberry. Vince also said it would probably be the same thing if we just added cherry or raspberry extract so I ordered both cherry and raspberry extract, as well as blood orange extract and will try making a similarly flavored batch of brownies.

raspberry would definitely get my vote! for some reason I dont like cherry or strawberry flavored things – even though I love both! – but raspberry and orange – yum!

Danielle, raspberry and orange together would be really good!

Often add raspberries to my brownies no point making them otherwise very moorish
