This week, we’ve had something to do every single day. That is so unusual for us. It isn’t like we’re going somewhere every day, though we did go out one day and may go out today and have to go out Friday. Well . . I guess we are going out almost every day. Some of the things happening require very little time but it means being dressed and presentable. That kinda wears me down. 🙂
Plus, whatever else we’re doing – even the meals, we have to plan so as not to interfere with whatever else is going on.
Monday the freezer repairman came.
Tuesday the electrician came. We need more outside lights. We need electric plugs and a ceiling fine in the pergola. He just came to get a list of all we need done. We also want to add more lights on the inside stairs. Also, the smoke alarms are hard wired and the one at the bottom of the stairs has no power going to it so they have to figure out how to fix that. There’s a light switch when you go into the downstairs garage and it’s about 24″ from the door so they’re going to move that closer to the door – just a bunch of little things.
Wednesday the new freezer is being delivered. Then we have to go to town and pick up outside flood lights, a ceiling fan and whatever else Vince wanted us to get for the electricians to install.
Thursday propane is being delivered.
Friday milk gets delivered and we have an Azure Standard order to pick up.
Most of the time there’s not much going on around here and I’m sure compared to those who really have busy lives, this doesn’t seem like much but for us . . it’s different.

I thought you were supposed to be staying off your feet. As a person who has had several foot surgeries I urge you to follow the doctor’s advice.

What did the freezer repairman say?

He said there was nothing wrong with it. I’ll not trust it again for a long time but we do have alarms on all the freezers now.

Dear Judy, are you following doctor’s orders? Or was it just a suggestion? You pick up the Azure order (I know it has to be), then you will be on your feet getting things put away. Seems you may be prolonging the foot injury recovery. Please, stay off your feet! This may be one time Vince would be willing to take directions from you.

The order was placed several days before my foot began giving me real trouble. I couldn’t cancel it so yes, whatever I ordered has to be put away but I didn’t order much this month. This was half the size of the other orders I’ve placed. Most of it is grain and Vince will dump the bags in the bucket for me. The 50 pounds of potatoes will have to be canned but I can sit and peel them, then stand to wash them, then sit to cut them and put them in jars.
I will spread it out over several days. After that, I’ll just do what has to be done!
