Yesterday morning when I got up, I thought . . we have not left the house since Thursday. We were home Friday, Saturday and Sunday. How many days could we stay home?
When Vince walked into the room, I kid you not . . the first thing he said was “Do you want to go with me to Walmart today?” I giggled but stopped it in enough time that when he said “What was that noise?” I said “a cough” and he didn’t say anything else. I told him . . I don’t need anything but if you want me to go, I will.
Vince needed something and I’ve already forgotten what it was. It was to replace something he broke while working on the stump he’s trying to get out. So, we went to Walmart. Vince was right – getting there and getting out as early as possible is good. There weren’t many people in the store. I did end up buying cucumbers. They had the prettiest cucumbers I’ve ever seen and with it being so hot, I’ve wanting a cucumber sandwich.
While we were out, Vince filled up his car with gas.
Look at what we paid for gas! $3.979. Gas was $4.079 but with our Walmart Plus membership, we get 10 cents off per gallon. I’m not happy about paying $3.97 for gas but considering what it is in other parts of the country (and world), I’ll take it.
Now, let’s see how long I can manage to stay home. My goal is at least til Friday. We’ll see.

Oh I wish, the same amount of fuel for me $74 !!, wish we paid your prices, but hey our government is just plain greedy taxing the fuel so high. Makes us think if we need to go out, so its if we have 3 things to do or get, then we will go. Hey Ho that’s modern life for you.

$5.89 a gallon at Costco in California. I try not to let it get lower than a half a tank cuz so awful to pay for a full tank.

California just passed a fuel tax increase on top of the sky rocketing fuel price. My husband says cheapest unleaded was $5.99 today. Living in CA feels like being strapped to one of those ACME cartoon rockets heading straight for the side of a granite wall – – Oh No!

I understand when family, friends and jobs are there, people stay but I can’t imagine living there.
