Trips to Town

Yesterday morning I almost cracked up laughing but didn’t want to hurt Vince’s feelings. He came downstairs, looked at me like he wanted to say something but wasn’t quite sure . . I said “What?” He said “Do you want to fix your hair and go to town?” I said “I was hoping you would ask!”, got up, fixed my hair, slapped on some makeup and off we went. I didn’t even know where we were going. I think Vince was thinking . . who is this woman that looks like my wife?

On the way to town, he said “Do you want to have breakfast at Chick-fil-A? I said “Sure”. Then we went to Home Depot. He said he needed a couple of parts for getting the stove hooked up, had an order that was shipped to the store that he needed to pick up and wanted to get some keys made. I went to the back to look at stoves just for the heck of it. After a few minutes, Vince came and found me and said he was ready to go. I told him I was going to walk through the garden center and would meet him at the car, which was parked by the garden center.

We went to Aldi. They had chicken so I was happy we stopped. They rarely have chicken but the lady had just finished restocking it. Vince said he needed

On the way home, he said “I didn’t get keys made because I didn’t have a house key!” He had taken it off his key ring when his car was in the shop. That’s ok. We’re not short keys and we rarely use keys but he’ll get them made next time he’s out.

A few minutes ago, he came inside and said “I forgot to pick up the package that had been delivered to the store!” Oh, my goodness. I wonder if he’s going to want to go back to town today. Probably not. The truck has to go in the shop tomorrow so we’ll probably get to do it all over again tomorrow.

Today we have to have the pickup at the shop at 8. I’ll follow him and bring him home but first . . back to town. We have to go to Home Depot to pick up the package and get the keys made. I have to run by my doctor’s office and pick up some meds. I’m sure at some point in the afternoon we’ll have to go back to town to pick up the truck.

I would love to get some cross stitching done today – something I haven’t done in what seems like weeks.
