Oscar will be six months old this week. Everything I read says they calm down a lot when they reach their one year birthday. We can hope, right? I’m sure some calm down sooner and some take longer. My luck . . longer for Oscar.
Last night Vince and I were watching a documentary and we were both really into it. I heard Oscar making a sound we shouldn’t be hearing. I said “Vince, can you see him?” Vince’s chair is in line of sight of Oscar’s little area. He looked over and said “OH, MY GOODNESS!”
As he gets longer, he can jump higher and get more things. He can now reach the third shelf on a rack we have just outside his area. I had moved everything last week when I realized he could reach that shelf but yesterday evening I brought an extra roll of toilet paper down, stopped on my way to the bathroom to do something else and left that roll of toilet paper where he could get it . . and he did.

Oh, but he had fun! And it wasn’t one of your slippers or socks …

Oh no!! He’s such a rascal! lol It would have been fun to watch him do that though! 😀

Way too many temptations! LOL

I’ll bet Oscar was smiling the whole time! And having the best time ever!!

Lucky it was only toilet paper!

Ginny will be one next week and she’s not calming down. I chased her this morning to get a candy wrapper she took out of hubby’s trash can. She had a “little” girl surgery last week and you’d never know it from the way she was acting today.

That is not encouraging! 🙁 I get so aggravated with Oscar when I’m trying to catch him but after I catch him,it’s kinda funny.

He had a great time!

You have to smile at their naughtiness. Thankfully it was not during the Great Toilet Paper Shortage.

That’s what I kept thinking. I might have cried if he had destroyed a roll back then.

I know someone who was in the backyard with her dogs (young corgis). She realized they were being quiet, and found that they had gotten to some cushion filling, and were industriously tearing it to pieces! (Just like quiet kids, right?)

Oh, no. I’m sure they would have gladly cleaned up toilet paper rather than having to buy new cushions. Puppies can certainly get into a lot of trouble.
Nelle Coursey says
Believe me, I KNOW Corgis can be destructive! We always try to guess how long it will take ours to destroy a new toy. Usually, they only last about 5 minutes, if that.
Rebecca says
..Nelle, That’s what I’ve heard about dachshunds! I knew someone who would get her doxies only the strongest, sturdiest toys.

My baby is 13 and will be 14 in November. He has not been well for about 6 months, and it is sad to see him not playing with his new toys. Just this week he has started trying to play with them again! I think he is feeling better. We have a pet chiropractor coming to our house next week to check him out. She also does the cryogenic laser treatments that he got at the last vet we took him to! We will do anything to make him feel better. This woman comes highly recommended!

How nice that she will come to your house. I hope it helps tremendously.
