This chart is by Needlework Press and I love their charts but . . I love almost all charts!
I haven’t had a lot of time to stitch – canning, working in the yard and garden . . not enough hours in my day but don’t we all have that problem.
Here’s the cover photo:
Here’s where I stopped last night:
By the end of the day June 7, which will be one week since I started working on this, I hope to have the alphabet for those first two rows done. That’s A – F on the top row and M – R on the second row. That’s 12 letters. I can do that . . maybe. I did all 10 letters that are stitched yesterday.
My goal . . not written in stone but I’m hopeful . . as as follows:
Week 2 – June 8 – 14: Stitch the third row – the row with W – Z. Stitch the trees on each side of the house.
Week 3 – June 15 – 21: Stitch the house and the flower basket.
Week 4: June 22 – 28: Stitch the words and Ellen’s name/date.
When I finish the work I’m hoping to get finished, if there’s any time left, I will work on the borders. Then, I’ll have June 28 – 30 to work on the borders.
So, there’s a slim chance I could get this finished by the end of June.
Of course, that means, Cross Stitch Camp probably isn’t going to happen for me. I’m telling you . . I think I’m seriously about to become a monogamous stitcher.
I do have the Red Bird Sampler started and am working on it upstairs while watching the canner but otherwise, it’s all Ellen Carr this month.

Lovely progress there! I’m thinking of being a monogamous stitcher too! I really enjoyed going back and forth these past few months but I haven’t pulled out my WIPGO charts for June yet and I am pretty sure I’m not going to join in on camp this month either! I am working on Ladies Who Lunch (my any new start for May) and my goal was to get at least one ladybug done and it’s taking me longer than I thought it would…lol

It looks very nice so far, Judy. On the cover picture, there is something that jumpsuit out at me, the gap between the A and faithful. I would say that it would look better with the f in line with the f of friend, or even one stitch closer to the A.

Thanks for pointing that out. I may have to move it over closer to the “A” because the berry above that “f” is kinda low but if I move it closer to the “A”, the second “f” may be too close to the berry above it. I had never noticed but the flower urn is not centered. I don’t think I can senter it but I can move it closer to the right, move the “A” over a little, maybe put one less space between “friend” and “is”.
On the bottom, I can move 1843 towards the right, leave off the maple looking motif and put my initials there. If I do small initials, I can probably get 2022 in there too.
Again, thanks for pointing that out.
Also, it’s possible I could stitch “friend” on one line, add “is” down with “hard” on the next line.
I’m not going to take the time to chart it out. I’ll wing it and if it doesn’t work . . I’ll go back to the original design.

I got my June camp project completed yesterday and am just waiting to see if it will fit on flat-fold fabric covered easel I ordered from Etsy (because I loved the fabric) or if I will have to make one myself with fabric from the stash.
Ellen Carr is looking good!

Good job. I may stop working on Ellen Carr and stitch one of the Prairie School Santas. I know if I don’t, I’ll wish I had.

Yes I think you need to make a Santa. 🙂 I was looking thru my Santa project bag last night thinking I may need to start one of those this week but the hard part is choosing which one to start.

I think I’m going to do either the year Vince and I got married or the year Addie was born.

I noticed you were monogamous on The Mighty Oak! I started that one and put it away for now. But i have been steadily working on the Told in a Garden SAL. I started “My Quilt” and I love it so much, i have been working exclusively on it. ?
