Yesterday when I went to get Addie, it was raining hard from the time I left our house til I picked Addie up. Thankfully, the rain let up a bit just as Addie was running to my car or she would have been soaking wet all the way home. She did run through water and her shoes were soaking wet. It’s been cool enough that we haven’t needed the a/c for a couple of weeks and with all the rain, it was feeling kinda humid in the house so I turned on one of the dehumidifiers. I told Addie to stick her shoes near the dehumidifier and they would dry out quickly.
On our way back to our house, I only had to turn the wipers on for a few minutes but it was cloudy the entire trip back. Everything here is so wet and muddy. I know it’s hurting the farmers who are trying to get crops in.
As I passed the windmills, with the clouds behind them and either crops starting to grow or fields waiting to be planted, I mentioned to Addie that it would make a great picture but the shoulders are narrow and I didn’t want to pull over to get a picture. She said “I can take pictures” and she did!
This is the kind of scenery I love. I’ve always loved views like this but probably love them more after having lived where not much grew.
While seeing the windmills don’t thrill me, the sky was so pretty – especially seeing the blue sky replacing the dark clouds.
The green in Missouri is so pretty . . especially when there are several different things growing so there are several different shades of green.
Addie was a good photographer! 🙂

Addy did great with the photos. Kids are so savvy with phones now. I subbed for a first grade teacher who had to go to on campus training. A birthday celebrating student wanted a photo with the teacher, so another first grader took the phone and then the photo.?

Addie took the phone and said “How do I make the screen brighter?” I said “I don’t know!” She said “Granny, you’ve had this phone forever (a year!) and you don’t know how to use it?” Right. She looked at it, found the setting and fixed it.
