This isn’t the first time I’ve talked about this but there are many “clubs” and subscriptions available through shops or Facebook groups. I had joined one, but only one of the four or five projects I received really interested me. As you know, my preference for stitching is historical samplers, or maybe just samplers in general, and not so much cutesy cross stitching. Most everything I received from my first subscription was in the cutesy category. I didn’t sign up again for that one.
I’ve watched the projects that stitchers have posted from Country Sampler Threads of History Club and there’s never been one that I didn’t wish I was stitching. Every time I would try to sign up, I would get confused and not get it done so a month or so ago, I called and they helped me through it. For the 2022 Threads of History Club, there will be a tribute to Barb Adams done by Alma (the other half of Blackbird Designs) and the Country Sampler ladies; Needlework Press, The Scarlett House and Chessie and Me. I’m so happy I signed up for this one because The Scarlett House is one of my favorite designers, I love Needlework Press and I think the lady I spoke with at the shop told me the Chessie and Me design is a tribute to the designer’s grandmother so I will love that one for sure.
The last project of the 2021 club was Ellen Carr, 1843. When people who were in that club started receiving it and showing it, I had just signed up for the 2022 club. Someone mentioned that the shop might have some extras so I called and the lady said “I’ll see what we can do.” Yesterday, my kit arrived!
I’m so happy to have been able to get this chart. I love the colors and I love the verse! I believe the fabric included is Hogbristle by Fox & Rabbit. The floss was included.
It’s so hard for me not to start this one right now! June is my birthday month and I may have to trade out my scheduled start for this one!
