We are not halfway finished with 2022 but we’re getting there! This was the list of stitching “starts” I planned for 2022. I never planned to finish these but, at some point, I do plan to finish them.
The only Birthday Start so far has been Vince’s. Chad’s birthday is in December and I moved that one up because there were several people stitching Mighty Acorn in May.
As far as the Important Date Starts, I’m on track . . I’ve started everything through April 15. I’ve not gotten much stitching done on most of them.
I think what I’ll do for next year is list six projects I want to start and maybe just do them whenever – not have any planned dates to start them. That will leave me some time to start other projects if there’s a stitch along or something fun I want to do. I’ll also have time, hopefully to work on finishing some of the 2022 starts. If I don’t come up with a plan for projects I will definitely start, then the ones I want to make keep getting pushed back when I see something new or, at least new to me, that I want to start.
Every time I look through the charts I have here, I realize how many good ones I have here and I ask myself . . why do I keep buying new charts? Just going through my charts is better than any no buy challenge.
I don’t think I’m going to do WIPGO in 2023. I learned that once I get something out, I either want to work on it til it’s finished or til something else catches my eye.
I haven’t done great on Sunday Stitches. I’m leaning more towards sticking with a project til it’s done. I’ll have to re-think that and see if I can get back on track and then decide if that’s something I want to continue.
It’s great to be flexible. I’m not one to beat myself up over how many UFOs I have and how long ago some were started. I just want to do what makes me happy with my stitching. I am kinda surprised that I’m leaning more towards sticking with something til it’s finished but . . that could change tomorrow and I’d go back to wanting to start everything I see. 🙂

Judy, I discovered the same thing about myself — enjoying one project at a time. My WIPGO board has changed quite a bit. I maneuver whatever I want to work on for that month’s numbers and try to finish the project by the end of the month. So far I’m 4 for 4. Mind you, most were on the smaller side. However, I’m determined to finish the New Year’s Sampler when that number gets called. I think I’m halfway there. I also have about 14 projects lined up in the queue. I’ve already designated some as 2023 projects. Keep up the great work!
