There’s a new kit (or probably WAS), Janet Haig Pratt 1883, by Heartstring Samplery and it was available for pre-order on Wednesday at 6 p.m. central time. I love everything Heartstring Samplery does and even without seeing it, I knew I wanted it. There was a bit of confusion about when it would be available for order but I got it all nailed down – 6 p.m. my time Wednesday.
All day I waited for 6 p.m. I decided to go out and water the garden about 5 so I could be back in by 6. A neighbor was going to come by and pick up some onion plants and I didn’t know if she was coming Wednesday or Thursday so I took my phone out to check my messages while watering.
I did not have a message from the lady wanting the onions but there was a very important message . . something a bit urgent and had to be tended to right then. I called Chad and his phone went to voice mail. He’s out of town working but I knew he was off work for the day. I called Nicole, talked to her a bit. Chad called while I was talking to Nicole so I told her I would call her back. Talked to Chad, called Nicole back. Stuck my head in the door and asked Vince to come out so I could talk to him. Talked to him. Then I kinda felt like I needed a few minutes alone so I went for a walk, came back home and sat outside for a while.
There’s nothing wrong with any of us so no need to worry.
Then it hit me . . 6 p.m had come and gone . . a couple of hours ago. The Heartstring Samplery lady had told me she tries to have enough kits to last at least 48 hours but I had wanted to be one of the first to order and I know how cross stitchers are . . those kits might go fast. I got my order in and that was done.
Then today I got an email from The Enforcer of the No Buy Commitment (but it really isn’t “no buy” and obviously she’s trying to keep me on the straight and narrow but it isn’t working so well). She said “I’m not saying I ordered it but . . ” Yes, she ordered it. Yes, I ordered it.
Still, even with a few orders here and there, I’m happy with what I’m buying (or not buying) these days.

Sometimes you just have to hit that purchase button! But there has been far less purchasing over all so its all good. I may need to start that one in June after I figure out what fabric I want to use.
