Does he not eat the stuffing? I took it because it looked like Oscar was eating it.

Nipe, it was the cat. It HAD to be the cat. That sweet, quiet, demur little angelic pup would NEVER have done that. Yep, it’s definitely the cat!!!!!!

I saw him doing it when I came downstairs. Don’t try to take up for him! He’s guilty! 🙂

Our English Setter, Darcey, destroyed beds and black Kong toys at an unbelievable rate when she was a puppy. After an emergency bowel resection at 10 months because she ate a skein of embroidery floss, the vet suggested not having items with stuffing at all as dogs seem to develop a “taste” for eating stuffing. Even under supervision, Darcey still managed to chew a foot stool, several quilts, fabric, and a corner of the couch. Better safe than sorry as bowel resections (and the resultant food allergy she developed) are not cheap.

Gave up on dog beds. Once they started, they would not stop.

Corgis are known for this!! There is not a toy around they can’t destroy! We used to guess how long it would take for them to tear them up. Sometimes it was eeven 5 minutes!!

Morning Judy The one and only toy our 2 dogs have never destroyed in their favourite past time of chewing is an antler! They love biting on them. Teddy has had his for 2 years!! It’s smaller with plenty left for another year or so. After chewing every so called nondestructive toy down to their feed bowls I was told by our vet to give them an antler, it works. Good luck .

Try turning the bed so the underside (wrong side up) is up with sides turned up. Just like turning something wrong side out. Maybe he likes laying on the cooler rubber side instead of the warmer fleece side. Oscar (love his name) is such a sweet puppy!
