Addie has gone home so our house seems quiet. I’m always a bit sad when she leaves but I remind myself she’s just an hour away and that makes it all seem better.
This morning when I was up so early, I stitched for about an hour. Vince woke up so I started working on my chores. I knew we were grilling burgers for dinner but I wanted to go ahead and cook something for tomorrow. We’re supposed to have storms and there are all kinds of possibilities, according to the weather man, as to how severe they may get, depending on whether this or that happens earlier in the day.
I had a roast pretty much defrosted that I was going to cook on Wednesday for Thursday so I pulled it out and cooked it. If the power goes out, I can heat it up on the stove and cook some rice and carrots and we’ll have a meal.
Nicole ended up coming here to have burgers with us and get Addie so I didn’t have to drive her home or halfway home.
After they left, I went out to water the plants and a neighbor walked over. I was outside so long with her that Vince came out to check on me and then we all stood there and talked for a while longer.
So, 8:30 p.m. and I’m just getting back to cross stitching but I should be able to get a few hours of stitching time before I’m ready for bed.
