I’ve been working on finishing all the “x” stitches. When there’s a border with a ton of plain “x” stitches, I’ll make 9 with just one side of the “x” and then on the 10th stitch, I’ll make the entire “x” and that way it’s easy for me to count how many I’ve done.
I’ve done a bit more than is shown in the picture. I’ve now finished the second leg of all the plain “x” stitches and I’ve added more orange berries or whatever they are down the left side.
Today I hope to finish the vines and leaves (the brown part) across the bottom and if there’s more to do on that left side – not sure about that. I can easily do the orange berries with Addie here.
The rice stitching is not hard and probably wouldn’t even be time consuming once I get back in the rhythm of it. I think once I get everything else done on this piece, which could be by the end of the weekend, I’m going to commit to spending two hours per day on it til it’s done. The rice stitching will be the last thing that has to be done before I finish this one.

Are you missing a stem and leaf on the left hand side?

Yes, in several places. Just haven’t finished them all.
