Breakfast has become my favorite meal. I think it’s because I can get it done and get on with the day where dinner seems to take up a lot of time. Most all of the breakfasts I fix are fast. Even yesterday’s meal which was biscuits, grits, sausage and eggs.
Except for the grits, everything else was cooked in three different skillets which I simply wipe clean with a paper towel.
I feel like, with those eggs sliding right out of that well seasoned skillet, my grandma is probably looking down and smiling.
There are only three or four things I generally fix for breakfast:
- Oatmeal with fruit
- Pancakes or waffles
- Eggs, grits and biscuits
We either have bacon or sausage defrosted so whatever we have is what we eat. Sometimes we have ham but mostly it’s bacon or sausage.
Today we’re having carrot cake oatmeal, yogurt with blueberries and sausage.
Dinner today will be easy – leftover roast beef sandwich on crusty bread with leftover potato salad and baked beans.
It’s supposed to rain off and on all day so it’s going to hopefully be a day of stitching!

I haven’t had breakfast or lunch yet and your photos are making me think I may need to go make some biscuits! What will you be stitching on today? This morning I got the framing done for two small pieces and I just remembered it’s Sunday so I have to remember to pull out my Sunday stitch later.

I should be stitching on my Sunday Stitch but I’m not. I’ve been working on Thy Love Divine to get my WIPGO hours in for this month.
