Recently I shared this chart I had just purchased – Thirza Priscilla Dawes 1870. I’m going to start this on May 1, along with several other projects . . bad Judy!
Last night I wanted to go ahead and get the floss drops done. There are 36 skeins of floss. That’s a lot of floss drops! I got them all made then started looking at linen.
The called for linen is Fox & Rabbit’s Saltbush.
It’s way more grayish green then I like for this project.
I pulled probably 10 different linens and they all seem fairly close in color til you put them all together. The one on the right is way too pink, though alone it looks more tan. Top left is Saltbush that’s the called for color.
I decided to use the middle one on the bottom. That’s Fox & Rabbit’s Up in the Attic.
The only color I’m concerned with not showing up is the one on the far right. I’ll decide what to do with that one when I get to it. It’s DMC so I can easily substitute another color if needed.
The other project I’m starting May 1 is Mighty Oak and I have the fabric and floss for that one already pulled so now I can get back to stitching.

Good! At least you know you won’t be the last one to finish if I’m stitching it. 🙂

..Nice choice for fabric. I also love Mighty Oak but I’ve got so many projects I want to start.
