It’s always so hard for me to leave Lake Charles, LA. The short trips seem harder to leave than the longer one. After I’ve been there 7 or 10 days, I’m pretty ready to come home but I wasn’t ready to come home after just a few days but I missed Vince, Oscar, my blog . . it was hard to write there. I had taken a small Chromebook and it’s hard to type on it, the internet isn’t terribly dependable and we were busy!
Nicole, Addie and I got up at 4:30 this morning, threw everything in the car and were on the road by 5:10 a.m. We stopped in Marshall, Texas, about 4 hours from my uncle’s, so it must have been around 9 a.m., got breakfast to go and that’s the last time we ate. Nicole dropped me off at our house at 4:30 p.m., tired, hungry, with a headache and with 10 pounds of boudin and 6 pounds of sausage to be vacuum sealed and frozen.
I got all the food put away, played with Oscar, ate sausage left from the birthday party and now, befpre 7 p.m., I’m seriously ready for bed!
I’ll get back on track tomorrow . . I hope.

It’s easy to make. Chad makes it often but . . it’s easier to buy it and there are a couple of places in Lake Charles that are my favorites so I always buy it when I’m there.
