Yesterday I could not find my cast iron loaf pans that I use for loaves of bread. How can someone lose three cast iron bread pans? I looked in the oven where I often store cast iron. I’m sure now that the bread is done, I’ll find them in plain sight.
I used my Pullman pans. Good thing I had backup pans. I’ve gotten rid of most of the pans that I don’t like.
It doesn’t really matter what pan I used . . Vince has his beloved Anadama Bread!

I will admit to never hearing of cast iron bread pans. I found some Pyrex loaf pans at a rummage sale that I use exclusively now. The metal ones always rust in our damp climate, or just don’t last. I’ve already broken one of the Pyrex pans, but still have three others, so I’m good for a while!

I prefer pyrex loaf pans for meat loaf, though I rarely get them out because until yesterday, the cast iron loaf pans were always sitting in the oven. For bread, I love the cast iron loaf pans.
