This morning I was just getting ready to start bread and Vince said he had to run to Walmart . . did I need anything? I told him if he’d give me a few minutes, I’d go with him. I did a bit with my hair, put on a little makeup, changed out of a holey T-shirt, and we went to Walmart.
We got home about 10:30 and I started the bread. The sponge has to be stirred up, wait an hour, mix the bread, let it rise, shape it into loaves and let it rise again, then bake it. I figured since there was so much stopping and starting with the bread, plus taking Oscar for walks, I’d just do some kitting.
The first project I started was GH 1857 by Soed Idee. That one went very quickly! I had already ordered the silk floss conversion from Victoria Clayton. I’m using the called for fabric – Wheat by Fiber on a Whim. The chart calls for 2 over 2 on 32 count. On Kitten Stitcher’s page, she says “40 Count Wheat”
On 40 count, it will stitch at 15″ x 14-3/4″. On 36 count, it will stitch at 16-3/4″ x 16-3/8″. I’m sure I’ll use the 40 count.

That’s a big project!

29.99 for a chart? I knew when I got the Always Thankful chart that it was a different business from when I had given it up and moved on to quilting! I may not go too much farther down this “rabbit hole”! Though, I admit it is a pleasant one!

Yes, but when I figure it will take me probably 4 or 5 months to stitch that chart if that’s the only chart I’m working on, I don’t consider $6 or $7 per month a whole lot. I wouldn’t do it often but for a special chart, I don’t mind it every now and then. Some of the Hands Across the Sea charts are way more.
