The Stitchery Nook is again putting together a Stitch Along for us. Jo has worked to get all the details lined out.
The chart is Redbird Sampler by Heart in Hand. If stitched on 40 count, the stitched area will be 2″ x 5″. If stitched on 36 count, it will be 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and if stitched on 32 count, it would be 2-1/2″ x 6-1/4″.
The kits can be ordered here. It is a pre-order and the kits will begin shipping mid-May. We plan to start stitching on June 1. The Stitchery Nook is kitting with silk floss – Belle Soie! If you haven’t tried silk, this is a great opportunity. One color! No color changes. This should be a quick stitch.
You have lots of options. The kit can be ordered complete with the chart, any of the following fabric options, and the Belle Soie silk in Cranberry. All of the below listed items can be ordered separately.
- Chart only
- Lambswool linen in 40, 36, 32 or 28 count
- Aida in 14 or 16 count
- Floss only
If you want to participate, and Jo and I hope you will, please get your order in to The Stitching Nook as soon as possible. Getting supplies can be a little tricky!

I had my eye on this chart for awhile so I will likely be in on the SAL. I haven’t used 40ct linen so I think this might be the perfect piece to try it. When you posted the various linen links you like I went to XJu’s etsy shop and ordered a couple of 36 ct pieces but those were in mind for some other projects. I’m liking the 36ct linen on the current SAL but will likely keep using the 18ct Aida I have kitted for other projects instead of switching them out. Trying to be frugal but I’m not sure ordering more linen should be part of that plan….lol

…I’m going to order the chart and use a dark blue floss. It will be my Bluebird Sampler to go with the remodeled kitchen.

I have a piece of linen cut from a larger project that is just the right size, so of course I took that as a sign that I should order the chart. Done! Then after I placed the order, I remembered your single chart that was torn up when you received it in the mail…so I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for the next month hoping it gets here intact, lol! I do wonder, though, why more charts aren’t offered as pdf downloads.
