Last night I started working again on Noel Sampler and I’m not thrilled with it. I love the chart but my colors aren’t working out so well.
I feel like the pink “Noel” letters are too light. I feel like the green roof is too dark. I never like stitching something totally doesn’t show up and the white under the tree isn’t showing up.
I think I’m going to give up on this piece. I love the chart but if I start it again, I’ll definitely change the fabric and maybe some of the floss colors.

It would be so disappointing to put in all that work and not be happy with it. I think you should make some changes.

How about if you just changed the colors of “Noel” to make those stand out and keep going? The green roof on the house won’t be such a shock once you get the rest of it done, it will just be a part of the picture. The white of the snow — is there a glittery white/silver floss you can use instead? If it catches the light it will sparkle a bit, and that’s what icy snow does in light, anyway. I’d hate to see you stop doing it as the chart grabbed your interest, so it’s going to be beautiful with just a couple of changes. Your pictures always look so wonderful!
