It’s almost April but . . still March so I guess snow is ok. And if it wasn’t ok, what’s my recourse?
Vince had gone out to the shop and he came back in and said “If I didn’t know better, from looking at the sky, I would think it’s going to snow.”
We went upstairs – I was putting clothes into the dryer and Vince went to get boxes off the porch (worm home) and he said something but I couldn’t hear him but it sounded like he was not happy. I came out of the laundry room and said “I didn’t hear what you said” and he said “SNOW!”
When I went back downstairs, I tried to get pictures but the snow was pretty much done. I thought the pictures were kinda pretty anyway and since blog posts should have pictures, you can pretend there’s snow! 🙂
In front of the shop where that wire is strung up is where we’ll plant our tomatoes in buckets.
Then when I sat down to look at my phone, I had these messages from Angie.
She’s so sweet! She loves smoked salmon.
I think we’re all done with snow. I told her . . as much as I love snow, by the end of February, I’m pretty much done with it and ready for Spring and fresh tomatoes!
It’s 38 according to our weather station. There’s very little snow falling and it’s pretty much melting as soon as it hits but it is cold out there. According to Accuweather, the low tonight is going to be 31. One day next week our low will be 35 and that’s it. The lows from then on should be above 40. Accuweather also says that on June 27, the high will be 93 and it will be “sunny and very warm”. I’ll be wishing for snow by then!

Yesterday I woke to see the cars covered with ice. By 2 in the afternoon it was 72!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that in all my life and I’ve been around for quite a few years!!

I woke up to snow this morning too. It was the wet kind where every little twig on every tree and bush had a coating of it. Pretty to look at and as I worked from home I didn’t have to go out in it.. I was hoping the sidewalks would have melted off during the day but no. Back to boots tomorrow. It had stopped before lunch but I just looked out and there’s a few flakes falling.

And we can’t even get rain! And when we do it is so little, and the wind is blowing it away and drying it out! Even after the rains the fires here are rekindling and that is not good!

I’m so sorry. It sounds like it’s worse now than it ever was when we were there. I hope y’all get a good rain soon. That’s just awful.

I don’t know that it is worse, because it happens every few years. I think the dryness is getting worse. There are so many dead trees around. But I think most of that is the result of the bad drought we had a few years back. Maybe if you moved back, it would get better!!! LOL
