Yesterday morning I said if I worked really hard yesterday, I might could finish this by the end of the weekend. I worked really hard but it wasn’t on cross stitching. It was shopping and then planting more potatoes.
I did make a little progress.
On Friday morning, this is what I said I had left to do and I’ve marked through what I got done yesterday:
Stitch the numbers 8, 9 & 0 on the left.- Stitch the center boughs and berries, the boughs at the bottom, and the red birds on each side of the center.
- Stitch the numbers on the right.
- Boughs on the top right and down both sides at the top.
- Wreath in the middle with 2022.
- Three trees on the right.
- The wreath above the three trees on the right.
The basket with the boughsand berriesin the center of the house. The snow on top of the roof and basket.
That wasn’t much!
Today I hope to:
- Stitch the wreath above the house.
- Stitch the berries in the basket on top of the house.
- Stitch the squares above the wreath.
- Stitch the bough and berries on the top right and down the the right side.
- Stitch center boughs, berries and birds at the bottom.

—-Maybe pre-thread your needles, it might save you a little time ;). Wouldn’t it be great to have a pit crew, or a sort of team for cross stitching, to hand you the correct thread, needle or snips?

I generally try to keep only one needle out at a time because I’m so bad about losing them and with Oscar around, we don’t need stray needles on the floor. I’ve often thought . . Vince is sitting there. I could say “Next, I need a needle threaded with DMC 310”. Of course, I’ve never mentioned that to him. 🙂
