An Aldi Trip

This morning I had to run by the doctor’s office again. I’m starting to feel like an old person! 🙂

I love Wendy’s fish sandwiches so I asked Vince how he felt about a Wendy’s fish sandwich for lunch and he was fine with that. Our Wendy’s is like a meat locker. It is so darned cold in there. Twice during the summer we stopped by there and decided to go somewhere else because it was miserably cold. I was thinking since it’s cold outside today, maybe it would be warm in there but no, it was freezing. Thankfully, we both had on coats but several other people got up and complained to the workers about it being so cold. It does make the fries get cold fast but it’s also quite uncomfortable.

Then I wanted to go by Hobby Lobby for a little tiny whole punch. They had it so I got that and Vince got a few things.

Then we went to Aldi. The other day we bought a bag of jelly beans in their Easter candy and they were so good. No high fructose corn syrup and all the flavors came from fruits and veggies. There’s radish juice .. weird juices but the jelly beans were so good. And, there were no coffee or popcorn flavored jelly beans. I do not like those two flavors at all. Vince wanted to get back and get those before they ran out so we got more jelly beans.

Vince loves eating canned pears and cottage cheese at night. Aldi has been out of canned peaches and canned pears for well over a month. We have three Aldi’s within 10 miles of us and one that’s about 40 miles away. He had gone to all three checking for pears and there were none. One Aldi is where we always go in Joplin – near Chick-Fil-A, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby. It was destroyed in the tornado so probably built back in 2012 or 2013. That makes it sound kinda old but it doesn’t seem old. The other Joplin Aldi is never the pallet store where Vince goes (too often) so he’ll run by there. It is fairly new – opened since we’ve been back here. There’s one in Carthage. I have no idea what street it’s on. I never drive to Carthage and do not know my way around there at all!

So, today, we just went to the one we always go to in Joplin. They had pears so Vince got about 10 cans. They had maybe 6 cases out so he didn’t take too many.

They had these marked way down. I have a road trip coming up with Nicole and Addie and I’m sure we’ll go through lots of disenfecting wipes on that trip! I love going to Aldi.
