On the index bar near the top of the blog, there’s a clickable link for “X-Stitch Projects”. Listed there are the projects currently in project, finished projects and now kitted projects. I have quite a few that are kitted that aren’t listed yet but I’m getting there.
This is the second one I kitted today.
Humming of the Bees is one of the market charts that has arrived. It’s by Blackbird Designs and in the classic Blackbird fashion, there’s so much to this chart. I love it.
The fabric I chose is Thornfield by Needle & Flax. The floss is Victoria Clayton Silks.
For now, it will go into the bin of kitted charts . . to be stitched some day.

.Since you’re on a “no” buy (or at least less buy), will you not replace the silks that are in the kit? What if *gasp* you do one before this kit that a color in the kit would be perfect for?

I don’t understand what you’re asking me. Sorry. I ordered the silks for the chart and kitted it myself. I won’t touch the silks that are for that project til after I’m done with it. If that’s not what you’re asking, ask again and hopefully I’ll be able to answer.

I believe you keep a stock of DMC floss in all the colors. I was thinking maybe you do that with the VC silks also, and shopped your stash. Then you wouldn’t have some colors available. Since you ordered specifically for this chart, that is not going to be a problem. 🙂

I wish. VC has about 700 colors and hers are $3.00/skein where DMC has less than 500 and theirs are .60/skein. Victoria Clayton makes up “packets” and does conversions so if you go to her website, under “Packets”, she has the packets of floss all made up for some of the most popular and newest charts, especially the sampler charts. She makes it way too easy to order those packets! 🙂

I fell in love with this chart too and picked it up yesterday when I went out to Shepherd’s Bush, my LNS. I also picked up several other Blackbird Designs…What Remains and A Heart Remembers. I will wait until I get my market orders before deciding what I want to work on and then will kit some up. So many choices! 🙂
