This morning I had to have blood drawn at 8:30 so we were in town early. After that, we went to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. Home Depot is right nearby so we went there. Vince needed a few things. One of the upstairs bathroom tubs isn’t holding water. No one ever takes a bath in the downstairs bathroom so we had taken the plug thing out of that tub and put it upstairs but we needed to replace the bad one so Vince got that. We bought some of the construction flags so when we go out with Rita or Oscar and they poop, we can put a flag down, then to back and scoop it up. We walk around with the scooper and can’t find it, then we take the dogs out again and there it is so now, we won’t lose it! Vince needed a can of Rustoleum for the clothesline poles. He also bought five bags of sand to fill in holes he dug for the trellis he’s going to use for the tomato buckets.
I bought a few more garden plants. I was wanting to get the four packs or six packs of tomatoes but apparently those aren’t out yet and I hate to pay $5 per plant for tomatoes so I waited on those and peppers. I did get brussels sprouts and a few more herbs. I have those three plant planters that I had lettuce and chard in during the fall and early winter. I’m thinking about planting three plants of rosemary in one; three plants of basil in another; three plants of parsley in another, three plants of cilantro in one and three plants of mint in one. I think we have five of those.
From there, we went to Aldi, because it was just across the street. We only needed a few things – milk, strawberries, cottage cheese. I ended up buying to packages of frozen cod and stuff for Addie’s Easter basket.
Next we went to Tuesday morning. I wanted some long, narrow, short baskets to put on the new rack in the kitchen. I wanted to put tongs in one. Don’t ask me why we have 10 different kinds of tongs but we do. Also, I wanted one for whisks. I have way too many whisks – all different sizes and shapes. I knew exactly what I was looking for but they didn’t have it so we went to T. J. Maxx. They didn’t have exactly what I wanted but they did have something that will work til I can find something closer to what I want.
On the way home, Vince said “Why don’t we run by the house, take the dogs out, then go eat Mexican at the restaurant near the house?” I wasn’t even hungry since we had breakfast after 9, but I thought . . eat now and I won’t have to cook later. I suggested we just leave the dogs alone. Oscar was in the crate. Rita was in her pen. They were probably both sleeping and neither would have been happy had we taken them out and then put them back in the crate and pen and left again so we went and ate. We came home, unloaded the car, put things away, took the dogs out.
Now . . it’s thundering and raining and I’m thinking a half hour nap is fixing to happen! 🙂

We got rain today also but not nearly enough!

I’m not sure y’all could EVER get enough. Even though the low area will flood in a huge rain, there always seems to be areas that didn’t get enough. That’s just sad.

…Do you have a Home Goods nearby? They also have a good selection of those clear organizers.

We don’t have one but I looked online and can order exactly what I was wanting. Thanks.

Made me tired just thinking about all your errands! I was smiling when I read about your half hour nap – isn’t that just one of the best things about retirement?
