When we were in Texas, we were Lowe’s in Abilene and found a little plastic garden shed on sale. Vince wanted to buy it and I wasn’t sure . . thinking it wouldn’t hold up well and it would be something else to have to disassemble and take to the landfill but it was on sale and Vince wasn’t leaving Abilene without it and I kinda like having him around so we bought it.
I ended up using that thing all the time. We bought a little plastic shelving unit and placed it inside. I kept fertilizer, gardening hand tools, small cups for starting seeds; lots of plastic grocery sacks that I always used for trash and picking up in the garden or if I was harvesting asparagus or artichokes or blackberries and hadn’t brought a bowl out with me, I’d grab a plastic grocery sack.
When we started to move, I told Vince I wanted to bring that and he said no . . we would probably not have a garden in MO, there wasn’t a good place to put the shed . . so we didn’t bring it and, we did havea little garden, and I’ve missed the led shed.
Yesterday we were in Lowe’s in Carthage and they had two of them. They were marked down from $299 to $279 and then to $139. Vince said “Let’s get one!” I said . . ok. I was happy. I’d have my garden shed back. We got home and Vince kept thinking about it and decided he was going to go back to Lowe’s this morning and get the other one if it was still there. It was so now, we each have our garden shed.
Here, because of having fertilizer and things children shouldn’t be into, we’ll keep locks on them. None of our neighbors’ kids come over here but you never know. I’d always rather be safe than sorry.
I’m happy to have my little garden shed again.
