Some of the things y’all are finding are so close but yet I just don’t feel like any of them are exactly right.
These are the instructions that came with it . . exactly how they were when we got them.
The base of the box is about 8″ wide and gets narrower as it goes up.
The top is about 4″ or 4-1/2″ wide and it’s about 9-1/2″ tall.
Storing eggs makes the most sense but I don’t think that’s it. The shelves do not come out easily. They fit over four little pegs so to remove a shelf, you have to lift the shelf, then pull it out. You can see how close the eggs are to the “ceiling” on the top shelf. I just can’t imagine a design for storing eggs that would be so easy to break an egg removing it.
We don’t have any jiggers so I can’t try those. They would probably fit and that’s about the best idea I’ve heard but still, it would be really hard to get them out of the top shelf and if it’s for display, you’re only going to see the ones in front.
I have no idea what this thing is for.

Maybe it’s this?

That looks more like it than anything else I’ve seen. I think it would have to be mini cupcakes for sure. Maybe I’ll make cupcakes tomorrow. 🙂

Love reading the ideas that people have come up with!! My suggestion is take out the shelves and use it as a bread box? On second thought give it to Addie, I am sure she would think of something to store in it.

Giving it to Addie is my preference! 🙂

I think that it is a egg storage rack, based on what I saw on the internet. WRT the upper back section, perhaps, they expect you to use the front eggs first and then get to the back eggs. When I was getting some eggs from the fridge, I actually reach in to get the eggs in the back of the container and I usually turn the little container around when the back row is empty. And it looks like it is the same space limitations.
On the other hand, I usually store my eggs in the fridge and not at room temp in the kitchen.

I would be surprised if it’s for eggs. They’re just too hard to get to. But, at this point, I’m not ruling anything out.

What about mini muffins? Is certainly is for displaying.

That’s looking more like the correct guess. If that is what it’s for, in my opinion, it’s a very poor design but . . I’m no designer so what do I know.

Is there a bar code on the box? If so, there are barcode lookup tools. Maybe that would help. Even if it’s just the company that made it, you could contact them and ask. If it’s in the original box that is.

It was not in a box. It was in a clear plastic bag. Most of this stuff is Amazon returned merchandise.

Maybe it’s a display or sale case for decorated eggs, not raw ones? Though it would be hard to see the 2nd & 3rd rows.

Just now seeing this. I don’t think “display” is right, with there not being much room and with the frosted door. It certainly has been entertaining reading people’s ideas, though! (I haven’t the foggiest)

Definitely an egg box 🙂

Oh, my goodness. I can’t believe you found it. There’s no way I would ever be able to get eggs in and out of that top shelf without breaking them. Crazy design.
Thanks for finding it and sharing it.
