I always know for sure when it’s Thursday because that’s trash pickup day. I’m not complaining and his truck isn’t terribly noisy but he backs down our road and we always know when he’s here. In Texas we couldn’t get trash pickup so we had to take everything to the landfill so I would never complain about trash pickup!
I mentioned Tuesday about the officers who were shot in Joplin. One passed away Tuesday night and another “isn’t going to make it” in the words of the press release. His organs are being donated so while he hasn’t technically passed away, he will. There’s still one more in serious but stable condition. Please continue to pray for the families of these guys, all law enforcement officers. I will not get political and this truly isn’t something that is exclusive to one party or the other but our justice system is a mess. The “suspect” and really . . I don’t even know why he’s called a suspect. To me, that means someone who may or may not have done the crime but I’ll just use the words the officials use, but the suspect had quite a criminal past. Too often we don’t even know the kind of people who are living among us til something like this happens and then you just shake your head and wonder why such dangerous people are ever allowed the freedom to do something like this again.
I did more sleeping than anything else today. In fact, I still have on my pajamas. Seems crazy to take them off, take a shower and put on clean pajamas but . . I’ll do it. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel a lot better. I have made a bit of progress on Forever and Ever.
I did a little video trying to show two handed stitching. The quality is probably worse than the first video. Oh heck . . I was supposed to turn the camera the other way and forgot. Maybe next time I’ll remember. I wonder if I would do better videoing with the iPad instead of the phone??
I’m hoping I’ll be able to stay awake for a while tonight and stitch but I think the meds are making me sleepy so . . if I get sleepy, I’ll just go to bed! If not, I’ll stay up and stitch.
We’re supposed to get a decent amount of snow tonight. Last I heard, they were saying 2″ – 5″. Hopefully, just 2″ because I may lose Oscar in 5″ of snow. He will love it though.
Boots is not happy about his diet. He gets 1/8th cup of food three times a day. He has not been throwing up but he also doesn’t seem to be losing weight. I just started this diet Saturday and since he’s just a cat and not a human or a cow, I would have thought any weight loss would be noticeable. I know he’s very happy when I feed him and I have to put Oscar’s food bowl up because Boots will eat that food and no telling what would happen then.
Back to my stitching til I can’t stay awake any longer.

It seems that the tragedies of law enforcement officers being killed continue and prisons are crowded, so judges and other officials feel many known “bad guys” can be left to run free. It has to stop! My prayers for these families that are grieving that God is with them and bring them peace. Grief is a difficult journey. I pray for all that serve. Judy, hope you feel better very soon! You are in my prayers also.

I’m waiting for the rain/sleet/snow to show up in OKC. We may get 1-2 inches, but the north part of OK should be getting more.
Are you going to do a Blessings SAL update soon??? I have some questions!!! Since I am just restarting x-stitch, I have done some goofs, but there is one I am not sure what steps to correct. Part of me says to let it be and continue on and another part says to rip it out. I don’t want to say much since it may confuse other newbies. HELP!!

If it were me, I’d look at it and decide if it’s something that’s always going to bother me, or if it’s something I can look at through the years and say “It was my first piece; I learned a lot and I love it.” If you can live it with it, that’s what matters.
I will do an update today.

The vet put my cat on a diet. She would eat the food she was allowed and then sit and cry at her dish. It was torture for me. She lost two pounds over a period of one year. The vet was satisfied with that. She only weighed 12 or 13 pounds to start with so percentage wise, the vet said it was good.
