The other night when Addie was here, I was getting ready to get in the shower. Addie came to the bathroom door and said “Oscar has one of your cross stitch bags.” I asked her to take it away from him and put it by my stitching chair where he couldn’t reach it.
Sunday night I got ready to stitch a few hours on Forever and Ever. I couldn’t find the chart but I had my working copy but I had only copied the first two pages so I just stitched what I had.
Last night I put a little more effort into looking for the chart . . like two hours! As we’ve started to take things upstairs, things have been shifted around, always trying to make sure everything – papers, cords, pens, hand lotion – is out of Oscar’s reach.
Just before I got ready to go to bed, I remembered the bag Addie had taken from Oscar over the weekend. Obviously, she didn’t put it near my chair or maybe she did and Vince thought it wasn’t in a safe spot and moved it. I remembered that it had a green zipper so I asked Vince if he had seen it. No . . he didn’t think he had.
It was too late to call Nicole and get her to ask Addie where she put it.
Before I went to bed, I went to tell Boots goodnight and there was the bag, sitting on the longarm table. I think what happened was when Addie took the bag away from Oscar, I asked her if she would give Boots his last 1/8th cup of food for the day. She went in to feed him, sat the bag down and then forgot about it.
That’s ok . . she saved it from Oscar’s sharp little teeth. I found it so maybe today I can get back to stitching.

At least you can blame someone else for losing it. I was working on a project using pattern keeper, but it was a scanned copy and it was really clear it could be a couple of different symbols. So I pulled the original and looked and thought I put it the project bag because I knew I would need it again. When I needed it again it wasn’t in the bag. I searched high and low. I knew I wouldn’t take way from my stitchy spot. I checked where I keep my originals, in other bags I was working, any hidey holes I have and could not find it. I decided to work on another project for awhile and see if I stumbled across it. I did, it was in the back of my notebook that I use as a scratch pad. How and why it was there is beyond me. Sometimes I am my own worse enemy, I think something is a good idea, but then forget said good idea right away.
Glad you found your pattern and hope you get some good stitching in today,

I understand what you’re saying! It seems like the times I think to myself “If you put that there, you’re not going to remember where it is”, then I tell myself I will remember . . but I never do, til I find it and say “I knew I shouldn’t have done that!” I guess we’re all in good company.

My problem is I put things away for safekeeping and then forget. If I can ever find that safekeeping pile, I will find many treasures. ?

There have been two I found that were not in all one piece.
