My sourdough starter has been so neglected for the past month. I fed it about a week before we moved downstairs. As of today, we’ve been down here four weeks. I’ve been using the kitchen but by the time I was comfortable spending a lot of time in the kitchen, we got Oscar and the wood floors are off limits for him.
Yesterday I put Oscar in the crate and went upstairs and played in the kitchen. I fed the starter and it was nice and active this morning.

I keep dried starter in the freezer so I know I can add water to that and have a good starter if my usual starter loses its vitality but I’m always so happy to see lots of energy from the starter.

I had ordered Elaine Boddy’s new “The Sourdough Whisperer” book. That’s an affiliate link!
It arrived yesterday but we hadn’t checked the mail til late and I haven’t had a chance to even look at it. Addie will go home this afternoon so this evening, I may curl up under a blanket and read this book.
