Yesterday and this morning I’ve been stitching on Noel Sampler – building a brick wall.
I need to make a decision about the white stitching. It kinda shows up between the bricks – I’ve stitched maybe the top third of the white around the bricks but next, there’s several rows of snow at the base of the house. I don’t think that’s going to show up at all. It may give a bit of “dimension” to the project but really, I just don’t think it’s going to be visible. I think I’ll go through my lighter colors and see if there’s one that might show up a little better, without looking like dirty snow.
This is such a pretty project. I love having Christmas projects and sure hope I get this one finished and framed to have on the wall this year. This is still February so I should easily be able to finish this one if I stick with it.

Maybe a light blue for the snow??? Then it wouldn’t look dirty that a cream/light tan or gray would. Just a thought.

Hi Judy
Had a similar problem, my lovely Stitch girlfriends suggested outline in a pale grey with the odd stitch in pale grey. Sounds daft but it worked.

How about DMC B5200? It’s like an ultra-bright white.

Everything else is silk but I was thinking about B5200 too. I haven’t even looked at my collection of silk yet to see what I have that might work.
