Addie loves to cook . . that’s a 9 year old version of “love to cook”. I’ve learned that she likes to spend about 5 minutes cooking and she’s done. I had told her we would make a fruit pizza yesterday so after dinner, I spread the cookie dough on a small baking sheet. Once it was done and cool, I cut it in half and saved half for today. Fruit pizza isn’t so great the next day.
I also made the “icing” and washed and sliced the fruit.
Left to right, it’s kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, raspberries and mandarin oranges. I also had blueberries but they were frozen so I left them frozen because once they defrost, they get mushy and runny.
Addie spread the icing on the cookie dough and she placed the fruit so, she helped and that’s about all I can expect from her.
It was a nice little dessert, and we have enough to do it again today with no real effort and no mess.

What are you using for cookie dough

Either a homemade sugar cookie dough or slice and bake type dough.

That’s a great idea. I’m going to do that with my grandchildren, they will love it! I think they’ll love to roll the cookie dough too 🙂
