Addie is so little trouble. It would be easy to forget she’s even here. She loves hanging out in the sewing room. She takes her Chromebook in there and she plays games and can sign on to her school account and do things for extra credit. If I had to guess, I would say it’s more game playing than school work but that’s fine – it’s the weekend!
She loves re-arranging my fabric. If I were still quilting, I’d not be happy with her system of “organizing” my fabric but she loves playing with it and, hopefully, she’ll fall in love with fabric and textile type crafts at some point.
We did our foot manicure kit tonight and she loves doing girly stuff. We were in the middle of that when Chad and Nicole called. Addie was having fun and giggling and I think they loved hearing her having fun.
We had planned to pick up sticks in the yard today but it was so windy and a bit chilly so we didn’t. Chad said “Good luck with getting her to help pickup sticks!” She said “No! I’m not picking up sticks for $5.” I asked her how much she would need to pick up sticks and she said “At least $100.” I told her I liked the way we did it yesterday – she picked up sticks and I fed her! 🙂
Speaking of feeding, Vince did go out and pick up pizza for us today so everyone was happy – Vince has leftover pizza in the fridge, Addie loves pizza, and I didn’t have to cook anything.
I’ll get to spend most of tomorrow with her, then I’ll take her to meet Nicole halfway and then I’ll be looking forward to the next time she comes and spends a weekend with me.

It must be the age! My daughter didn’t think she was gonna help pick up sticks out of my mom’s huge yard…..except I took her shopping yesterday, so just told her I was going to hold all her new clothes and new shoes hostage. She helped.
