This morning we had to run to town and the trees were so pretty! There was just a bit of ice in them and the sun was shining and they were glistening. I didn’t try to take a picture because Vince was driving and it wasn’t a place where we could stop easily.
I’ll share a few pictures from around the house.
This is my view from the basement window. It’s hard to see but there are lots of icicles hanging from the deck boards.
These were icicles hanging from the gutters just as the sun was coming up this morning.
Chad said Addie wanted to bring her sled. I sent this picture and told him I didn’t think there would be much snow left by the time we get back this afternoon.
This was taken from the sun room window looking out over the back.
I love winter! I’ll be happy for spring but by the time July and August get here, I’ll be so ready for fall and winter again.

I can’t believe the ice I am hearing fall this afternoon! The sun is bright and beautiful, but it is cold out there! I wouldn’t even try to go out on the deck to feed the birds, sorry as I am for them, I don’t dare attempt to cross that ice! Did you have the wind and bad drifting?

You stay inside when there’s ice!! I hope it’s all gone (til the next round this week).

I think you’ve had more snow than I have this year.?

The good thing about this area is that we get it and within a day or two, it’s back up in the 60’s and gone. It’s the ice that we seem to get that causes more problems than the snow.

You know how Texas weather is!! It was in the 20’s yesterday and last night. Today it was in the high 40’s. Monday it is supposed to be 80 and Wednesday they are predicting sleet and snow! It can’t make up its mind!!

It seems to be that way everywhere. Addie and I were out picking up sticks this morning and we both ended up taking off our jackets. Monday it’s supposed to be near 75 and Wednesday . . now and ice again.
