This is a LONG way from being a done deal but today we went up to a couple of stores in the Mennonite area. While there, Vince casually mentioned to one of the guys that we were looking for land and if they heard of any for sale, to let us know. One of the guys kinda raised his eyebrows and started telling us about his place that he may be selling. He called his wife, and then took us out there. Oh, my . . perfect!
I told Vince . . I would never want to leave so we might as well just move out there. Vince didn’t say NO but the look he gave me . . he’s not moving out there.
It’s way in the middle of nowhere – no close neighbors. You can see a house up the road from the front and if you go towards the back of the property, you can see a house down the road.
The house is just an old farmhouse but it has a canning kitchen just at the top of the stairs to the basement with an electric coil type stove, lots of countertop, and then a place just at the bottom of the stairs for storing canned goods.
The house isn’t fancy. The land is some farmland, some trees, good hunting land, has a pond, has a well, has a chicken coop and chickens!
OK . . I have to get my feet back on the ground. There are several things that have to happen before we can do anything – mainly the current owner has to work a deal on the house they want. Then they have to tell us how much land they will sell with the house and the price so . . like I said, we are way away from this being a done deal but Vince and I are both excited about it.

You guys are amazing and I love your excitement!
Is this property as close or closer to Chad?

Here we go again! Just dreaming is fun…would you keep your current house? Would you be closer to Addie? This sounds so exciting! I’ve had the girls every day this week while Brooklyn had dance and Kennedy had testing for her adenoid removal surgery tomorrow. She’s also getting tubes in her ears. I’m so glad I retired, I don’t know what they would have done otherwise! Good luck!
