Most nights Vince goes to bed before I do. I try to sneak into bed and not wake him but almost every night, at some point, he wakes up. He’ll either ask me what time it is or “Do we need to set a clock for in the morning?” But the thing he most often says is “Where did YOU come from?” I stick my Kindle under the covers and read for a while when I get in bed but when I turn it off, I snuggle up by him and that’s when he’ll say “Where did YOU come from?” That always makes me start laughing. Sometimes he doesn’t even notice and sometimes he starts laughing too.
Not quite the same type of endearing talk but every time he says this, which is usually three or four times a week, it reminds me of this video. He doesn’t say it like “I didn’t know you came to bed!” or “How long have you been here?” It’s like . . WOW! There’s a woman in my bed!
Once I go into my stealth mode (right!) to get quietly in bed, I feel like I’m sneaking. A couple of nights ago, just as I started to get in bed, and he heard me and he said “Boo!” Of course, that scared me and I screamed and then we both couldn’t stop laughing. After all these years, he still can’t believe I scared of everything . . especially at night and I can’t believe it still surprises him that I’m afraid of everything.
We don’t usually set an alarm but I had to go get blood work again today so I set my clock. When he went off, Vince said “Was there any excitement in the bedroom last night?” Oh my . . that struck me as funny and I started laughing. I said “Great! I should say YES! I can’t believe you don’t remember it!” I knew he meant . . did he scare me or did anything else funny happen or did I crawl into bed and go to sleep without incident.
He says such funny things . . mostly when he isn’t even trying to be funny.

That video is hilarious! It’s no wonder Vince holds the key to your heart. Laughing together is a great thing. I hope Addie gets to see you two laughing together and having fun. I still remember how my grandparents reacted to each other and how much in love they were. (even more so than my parents.) My grandmother even took up fishing, so my grandfather wouldn’t be going alone…and then she out-fished him on a regular basis. LOL

.. About the key to his heart cross-stitch…. are you going to make a pillow or frame it so he can hang it in his man cave?
I just got an email about the stitch-a-long… the package from the stitchery nook has been mailed and should arrive on Friday! I already got the ball-tip needles to try as well as some project bags. I need to dig around for a hoop as well as rewatch that video on the sewing stitch. It should be fun, though if I get the bug again, I need to dig out some of the old kits and work on those. We went on a vacation and bought little kits at many stops. I think I started one, but nothing was finished.

No. I’m afraid the shop is never going to be more than a storage building.
