Yesterday while Vince was out, he went to the grocery store, among other places. 🙂
He bought steak and lobster, asparagus and potatoes to bake. That was so sweet!
This afternoon when I was thinking about baking the potatoes upstairs in the oven, bringing the steamer down for the asparagus, and cooking the lobster . . I had cooked lobster in the pressure cooker a couple of days ago but the pressure cooker now has beans cooking in it so I would to bring down another pressure cooker for the lobster . . I told Vince . . I’m cooking upstairs!
After 7 days, we can walk on the floor with socks on if it’s an emergency. The floor guy told us the new stuff he used says you can walk on it after 24 hours but he still recommended 7 days. We still can’t put furniture on it for 3 weeks or rugs on it for 4 weeks and since rugs go under the furniture.
So, I went upstairs and put the potatoes on to bake, then later, when Vince got the grill ready, I put the asparagus and the lobsters on to steam. I did the lobsters in a steamer pot on the stove.
Then I told Vince . . I don’t want to haul all this food downstairs, and I don’t want to wash dishes in the bath tub so . . we ate in the sun room. The breakfast room table is in there til we can move it back to the breakfast room.
It was so nice eating at a real table, and being able to wash the dishes in the sink.
Addie is coming this weekend so we’ll probably continue to eat downstairs. I think she’ll feel like we’re camping and enjoy it.
Now . . back to my cross stitching . .

I think I am confused. If the rugs can go down in 4 weeks and the furniture can go down in 3 weeks, doesn’t that time overlap and you only have to wait 4 weeks? I would think you would only need to wait for the longest time period (the 4 weeks) to have elapsed.

Judy are you sure you have to wait 7 weeks for the rugs? I think the 4 weeks means just 1 week longer than the furniture..I could be wrong..but you may want to check.

No . . it’s 4 weeks total.

No! I don’t know where that came from. It’s 7 weeks total. I deleted that part of the sentence.

Happy Valentine’s day to you two valentines! I had a Zoom guild meeting last night, which a couple or three women were leaving early (after eight, tho) because their husbands were cooking them a valentine dinner. <3
As for me, I reheated homemade chicken pot pie before the meeting. Silly holiday. I did tell me husband NOT to get me any chocolate unless it was extraordinary! (Time to cut down on sweets)
