For any of you wanting to stitch G. Leger with me, I’m starting it today. I’ve already heard from Teri and she’s starting on time. I will tell you that my start is going to be slow because I have (1) WIPGO, (2) Teresa Kogut’s sample, and seems like there’s something else but I’m not sure I’m fully awake yet.
G. Leger is currently sold out at Colorado Cross Stitcher but other shops have it if you need it. You can order it today (or next week) and still have plenty of time to get way ahead of where I’ll be over the next couple of weeks.
The print on this chart is SMALL for my old eyes. I started copying and enlarging it last week but on our home printer, I was ending up with way too many pages so I thought I’d go to Staples or Office Depot . . whatever we have in town but I never got around to it and anything I can do without having to leave the house . . that’s what I’m doing.
I had seen that Kitten Stitcher had the pdf for $13.50 (they seem to have the hard copy too). I already had the hard copy and didn’t really want to pay for a second copy. I have no idea what it costs to have the whole thing enlarged at the office supply store but I figured by the time I drive to town (probably Vince would want to go and you know how much time and money that would end up costing!) <G>, I’d just pay the $13.50, and hope it worked with Pattern Keeper.
Way early this morning, I bought the pdf, downloaded it into Pattern Keeper and while it wasn’t a seamless effort, I got it to working and I can enlarge each section on there. I so much prefer to work with the charts in Pattern Keeper than with the paper charts.
In fact, when I had downloaded the project for Teresa Kogut, I was having trouble getting one page to work. Of course, it was the first page so I had used the paper copy and hated it. Then I had to go back to stitch another part of the first page and said . . I had to have some something wrong so I re-loaded it, set it all up again and it works perfectly. So much easier for me than using paper.
Back to G. Leger . . I will at least get started so I can say I started it on time but I really need to concentrate on the piece for Teresa.

I’m starting today…as soon as I finish here! I watched Teresa Kogut’s flosstube last night about her Nashville releases and saw your name as having stitched one of them. Very cool!

That is a really beautiful chart and I was sorely tempted several times….lol Can’t wait to see how yours goes when you have more time to devote to it.

Thank you! I sometimes feel like I’m the only one who reads my blog who loves PK.

…Tell me again the device you’re using for Pattern Keeper? I have MacBook Pro, an old iPad, and Kindles. Maybe I need to invest in what you’re using. Can you enlarge the pattern in that app?

My favorite is an 11″ Chromebook with touchscreen. You can read about why/when I bought this one here. I think we got it on sale for $149, which is about half the cost of a tablet and will do so much more. Since I have limited space in the basement, I brought the Galaxy A7 tablet down to use and I’m missing my little Chromebook.

Yes. With touch screen, you can make it as large as you want. I haven’t had much luck converting a paper chart to a pdf that will work well with Pattern Keeper so I use it mostly for charts that I buy as pdfs. Some of the designers are now selling charts with the code you can scan for a pdf version. Nice!!

…That would be great to be able to download the pdf also when you purchase the printed chart.
