Since Vince is going back out today, I asked him if he would stop and pick up a couple more of these little lap desks. I think Addie would love one and I told Vince . . if ever we’re sick and needing to eat in bed, these would be perfect. I like that they have the little “trough” around the edges to catch crumbs and minor spills.
They’re cheap, they probably won’t last forever but for the price, I think they’re a great buy. Also, if you have several, they stack.
It worked out so nice having it for my water bottle, my scissors, my floss . . I wasn’t constantly looking for things (except the needle I dropped and never found!).

When I lose a needle, I usually find it by either sitting on it or stepping on it barefoot…ouch either way… 🙂 I did lose one once when I was repairing a quilt patch, and I never did find that one.

It flipped out of my hand and I have no idea where it went. It will be Vince or Addie who will step on it. 🙁

I get frantic when I lose a needle. I have a dog and a cat and I am so worried they will get hurt.

One word of warning: if you put a lot of weight on it, it will buckle. Of course, if you’re sick enough to be eating in bed, you probably won’t have much.
Perfect for your needlework! That lip means no things sliding off.

I hadn’t thought about it buckling. It is flimsy and a bowl of hot soup might me a little much for it. Thanks!

When I lose a pin or needle, I use the flashlight on my phone or even a regular flashlight to look for it. I look all around the area and the light usually picks up a reflection from the pin or needle. Being diabetic, I don’t need to be stepping on something sharp.

I did – used the phone flashlight. I even turned the room light off and tried to find it but never did. I also have a big magnet on a stick but it’s upstairs.
You definitely do not need to step on a needle.

Could u glue a magnet to the table underneath or on top to hold your needle? Of course if you are gonna just flip them around it would not work.lol Were you aiming for Vince??

Great idea and I have some magnetic strips upstairs that can be cut to any size and they have “peel and stick” on the back side. You’re brilliant!!
